General "How To" questions:
Is your child worried Santa can’t find them because of a move? Concerned because you don’t have a chimney? Or maybe your little sweetheart has asked for a special gift you know Santa can’t bring - like that real live pony that simply won’t fit into your home! No worries! A Letter from Santa can dispel all their fears and remove any doubts.
Our letters include anywhere from four to six specific pieces of information about your child, such as their gender, age, pet or sibling, hometown, best friend’s name, and even a recent accomplishment or a present that they have asked for. Take your time to read the samples displayed on the website and select the text that relates best to your child’s situation and personality – these are the details that make the Santa letter real and magical for your child!
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! Simply click here to go to Step 1 and use our easy-to-follow directions. You don’t need to have any design or writing expertise - just choose from the predesigned templates provided for you. Pick your text and design, personalize it by answering a few quick questions, then preview and print! It is just that easy! Of course, if you choose Premium text or design templates, you will be whisked away to PayPal for a quick visit before you are returned to EASYFREESANTALETTER.COM to download and print your letter.
Why, Santa mail doesn't use the regular postal service...didn't you know?! All Santa Mail is delivered with the assistance of magic Elf Dust! And besides, for your own security, we don't want you to enter such personal details about your special little person onto a public website.
You have two easy options for your envelope! Both options give you a beautiful, personalized envelope postmarked from North Pole:
You can print out a fun, personalized envelope design created to perfectly fit your quarter-folded Letter from Saint Nicholas! Simply print the envelope onto paper of your choice (card stock works great too). Now just cut along the dotted lines, fold along the solid lines, glue, and stuff!
Pressed for time? Already have a special envelope you want to use? You can simply print your personalized envelope design onto any existing envelope (see How do I print my envelope? ). Now you can fold your Santa Letter any way you wish!
Jolly old St. Nicholas would never allow lack of plastic to interfere with good little girls and boys receiving their special letters. If your heart is set on a Premium letter, but you are only able to pay by cheque, email us here.
There are two simple ways to access your Letter from Santa:

2. Once you have completed Steps 1 through 3 on the website, your letter will be automatically emailed to you! If you don’t see an email from LettersFromSanta@easyfreesantaletter.com when you check your inbox, look in your spam folder as your email program may have filtered it there.
The best program to use for viewing and printing your letter from Santa is Adobe Reader, the official document viewing program of all Elf communication at the North Pole. If you don’t have Adobe Reader, you can get it for free by clicking here.
Open the letter in Adobe Reader, and then select the ‘File’ menu on the top left, then choose ‘Print’. Your Santa Letter is created for North Pole letter format (also used North America) but will also be compatible with A4 size paper as used in the UK, Australia, and other countries.
This depends on which envelope you are trying to print:
Open your personalized envelope design in Adobe Reader, and then select the ‘File’ menu on the top left, then choose ‘Print’. Your Santa Letter Envelope is created for North Pole letter format paper (also used North America) but will also be compatible with A4 size paper as used in the UK, Australia, and other countries.
First, make sure the envelope is opened in Adobe Reader. Click on "File" from the menu on the top left and choose "Print Setup" (if using a Mac, choose "Page Setup"). The most common envelope size in the North Pole, Canada and the US is "No. 10", while "DL Envelope" tends to be used most frequently in the UK, Australia, and other countries. Once you have chosen the appropriate envelope size, click "OK". Finally, click on "File" and choose "Print". Now stuff that envelope and follow your imagination for delivery!
First of all, do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer? If not, you can download it for free here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Now try again! Open your email and click "Download from this link". When prompted, be sure to save to your computer in a place you can easily find. Your desktop is always a great choice, as you can easily click on the icon to open your letter/envelope. But be sure to move it later to somewhere little eyes won’t see it!
First of all, don’t panic! You can easily find a solution. Your letter and envelope are sitting in your email inbox, so simply forward them to a friend or family member with a colour printer. Problem solved! Don’t know anyone with a colour printer? Then just save your Santa Letter/Envelope file onto a portable memory drive and take it to a commercial print shop for printing at a minimal cost. Can’t find a print shop in your community? Email us here and let us help you find a solution!
Have you downloaded the most recent version of Adobe Reader? If so, check that you have the correct page size set: select ‘Print Setup’ from the ‘File’ menu. (It will say ‘Page Setup’ on a Mac). In North America, choose ‘US Letter’. If you are in the UK, Australia or elsewhere choose ‘A4’. Then, select the File menu again and click on Print. Try adjusting the Page Scaling option so that it is sent to ‘Shrink to Printable Area’, and then you are ready to print!
Use the same instructions as for printing your Santa Letter.
Make sure you have selected the appropriate envelope size. In North America this is probably ‘No.10’ and likely ‘DL Envelope’ in the rest of the world. After you click ‘File’ and then ‘Print’, set the Page Scaling Option to ‘Shrink to Printable Area’ as well, and also check the ‘Auto Rotate and Center’ option.
Your information entries are probably too long. In order to make your letter fit onto one page, you will need to go back and edit your entries. For example, for if you child's hometown is El Pueblo de la Reina de Los Angeles, try using L.A. instead! Or maybe instead of "fed the kitty everyday, and took Rover out for a walk each afternoon right after school, and finished all her homework before going out to play, and ate all her brussel sprouts, and didn't spill her milk for three weeks in a row, and cleared her place at the table, and brushed her teeth before bed without being asked to!", perhaps try " took special care of Kitty and Rover all year".
