Elf on the Shelf Cookies! Yes – these amazing tutorials will amaze you! Impress your kids with your incredible baking skills! Or let your Elf on the Shelf into the kitchen for a little midnight magic!!
Our little Elf Bellae will take on a whole new level of responsibility this year upon her return from Santa’s house at the North Pol. She will be taking a spin around the kitchen whipping up some adorable Elf on the Shelf cookies to surprise the family with!
It took me a few years to convince Hubby Helper that the Elf on the Shelf would be a fun addition to our family; a magical delight like Santa, and not a creepy stalker-like maker-of-nightmares. But once I convinced him, he jumped in with both feet. Bellae came to join our family, and life has never been the same!
We look forward to her December 1st return every year (while we are on the subject you might want to check out these great printable letters to welcome your Elf on the Shelf!). It is difficult to imagine what Christmas would be like without our funny little Elf on the Shelf and her antics.
Will Elf on the Shelf cookies mean chaos in the kitchen?!
I usually try to keep her out of the kitchen – she makes SUCH a mess! Flour everywhere, into the eggs, candy spilled on the counters…she is worse than Hubby Helper (oops – was that my outside voice?).
This year, however, I think she has probably matured enough to try something new. After all, she did a pretty fine job of finishing off our gingerbread house last year. I was pretty impressed with how her skills in the kitchen have improved over the years; she did help put the finishing touches on our cookies for Santa last year. I think it’s time to let her try her hand at a little baking!
Originally, I thought she might enjoy whipping up something cute like these cookies kids can bake, or maybe some gingerbread cookies. A little whirl around our good friend Pinterest, however, and I hit on the perfect idea – some Elf on the Shelf cookies! I can’t even imagine the look on my Little Holiday Helper’s face when she wakes up to find a batch of these waiting for her.
I imagine that sly grin on Bellae’s face will be just as sweet! And just imagine the smile on Santa when he spots these little treasures waiting for him Christmas Eve!
An Elf on the Shelf Cookie for every family
Of course, every home has it’s own little Elf. Just like us human folk, each Elf can look very different from another, depending on what part of Santa’s team they came from originally. So I was very pleased to find Elf cookies to share with you that not only appeal to the Elves in the red suits, but some that all those other Elves might like too.
Here are a few Elf Cookie cutters that should meet your needs whatever your elf looks like! This amazing Elf cookies tutorial was actually created by Amy of BZ Bees Sweet Treats and is truly wonderful. Amy used an Elf cutter, however I am sure the shape is simple enough that it could be easily hand cut by those who don’t have time to order in the cutter. Aren’t they fun?
