Time to stop Elf-ing around and get down to business. Oh wait a minute…this is the time of year when we get to Elf around for a whole month! Yay!! The Elf on the Shelf ritual is a much loved one at our house, in some ways generating even more excitement than Santa himself! With The Littlest Helper being a kid who is good as gold, our Elf Bellae doesn’t have much work to do to keep her on Santa’s nice list. Instead, she spends the month pulling all kinds of nutty pranks!
Of course, its not all about the pranks – sometimes she is really helpful and does amazing things, like surprising us with gifts from the kitchen like these Elf Cookies!
As happens every year, Bellae’s arrival from Santa at the North Pole, is imminent, and I have done no preparation whatsoever. Given that there is such a wealth of Elf on the Shelf ideas on Pinterest, I did a little research to see if I could find a fun way for her to arrive. Sure enough, I found not only a hundred great ideas, but I also found this great collection of free printable Elf on the Shelf letters for arrival time!

Before I start sharing all the wonderful Elf on the Shelf Letters, I first want to share this fantastic idea I discovered! For quite a few years now, special little doors have been becoming a popular way for the Tooth Fairy to comfortably gain access to children’s bedrooms. Given the increasing popularity, it’s not really surprising that there is now a door for your Elf on the Shelf! Fantastic idea! And it has me thinking what next? A Santa sized door to save Santa’s a trip down the chimney? Yes – I want a Santa door!
