Affiliate Relationship Disclosure & Disclaimer

First of all, thank you so much for coming to visit our website! I know that some of you have been with us since the very beginning, coming back year after year. We are so grateful for your support, as it allows us to keep doing what we are doing – sharing not only our Letters from Santa, but all sorts of tips, ideas, and inspiration for Christmas.

Becoming an affiliate is yet another way we can share helpful information with you. If I am blogging about a particular recipe, craft, or activity, it can save you time to have the link to view or purchase related items right there at your fingertips.

And the bonus is that if you do happen to click through and purchase something, I receive a small commission from the seller – without costing you a single penny more! This helps me to pay for the costs of maintaining the Letters from Santa website and blog, and hopefully will allow me the opportunity to move ahead with some of the special additions I have been wanting to make to the site for quite some time!

And on that note, I am also really excited to let you know that as well as being part of the Amazon Affiliate family, we have also recently been invited to join their Amazon Influencers team! That makes it so much easier for us to share all of our favorite things on our very own Amazon page, which you can view right here!

How do affiliate links work?

Affiliate links are special, coded links that contain tracking information. They are everywhere on the internet these days, and you have probably had lots of experience with them already! Perhaps you are reading a review article on the “10 Safest Car Seats for Toddlers”. Maybe you click on an image of one of the seats and it takes you to a website (like Walmart) where you can learn more, and perhaps even purchase that car seat. You probably just clicked an affiliate link.

What is happening is that the website you read your article on has an affiliate agreement with that company (Walmart in our example). That company provides special links to the affiliate to use on their website that contain tracking information and cookies. When the website inserts these into their posts, they allow the company to keep track of where each potential buyer is coming from. If they follow through with their purchase, the website gets a small commission from the company. Those tracking links are only activated for a set period of time, though, so they aren’t tracking you until you are 92. However, if you do return within that window of time to purchase your item, your referring website gets their little commission on whatever you decide to purchase with that company.

Essentially, affiliate links are a great, easy way to support your favorite blog or website. And again, there is NO cost difference to you!

As per Amazon’s Associate Requirements, here is our official Amazon Affiliate Disclosure:
