Pom Pom ornaments kids can make! Tired of picking up pom poms and stuffing them back in the drawer/box/jar? Me too! Here are some adorable Christmas ornaments kids can make to get them off the floor for good!
We spent last weekend in the basement clearing out our teeny-tiny guest room/craft room/storage room/place where all the stuff to sell, donate, and pass along gets stacked and tossed. Once it was empty, Hubby Helper got to work on a seriously solid wall-to-wall workbench in our brand new art studio space! I am beyond excited!
In addition to our brand new industrial strength work top, there is also a perfect little niche for my easel! Within 10 minutes The Little Helper was busy at work on a canvas. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. I pulled in a big cozy chair, and a portable heater, and once I find a comfy little floor rug, we will be spending many an afternoon in our special little creation space. And when I have work that I simply need to get done, at least the Little Helper can create to her little hearts content while I keep her company with my laptop in the big cozy chair.
My next goal is to clean out my big 9-drawer storage cabinet that has been housing the crafting/art making overflow for years. There are oodles of pompoms, popsicle sticks, buttons, and other assorted treasures that really need a better role in life than hiding in a drawer. And frankly, as much as I am thrilled that kids at our little house are fully engaged in random art creation and take full advantage of free, easy access to a great many supplies,, I sure would like to be able to stop picking up pom poms and pipe cleaners off the floor EVERY DAY!!
A quick stroll around pinterest and I have come up with some adorable ideas for pom pom ornaments kids can make – some to keep, some to gift. So not only will my floor ultimately stay a little cleaner (yeah right!) but there are going to be some really sweet new Christmas ornaments hanging on our tree this year, and Santa’s too!
